Aztec Arm Band Question About Aztec Symbology Tattoo?

Here's the thing, I'm Mexican-American and I want a tattoo, that the links in my heritage. I thought that was really cool Aztec symbol Ouroboros (oo-raw-BOH-RoHS) and is essentially the "circle of life." We are born and then die ... life goes on. The original icon is snake / dragon eating its own tail, forming a circle. My question is, do you think I should get a tattoo in the form of a circle? I Really Want horizontal left forearm. If I do not see this as a circle, do you think that takes the symbolism?
